7psi is definately fine for daily driving..... but i def need more power if its going to be a competative street class slider.

I also picked up a pair of 8kg rear springs that i will throw in for drift track days. That should help with even tyre wear and slide ability.

Oil temps have gone up 10 deg on the highway guess anb oil cooler is on the cards sooner than i expected

14 psi sounds a bit hecktic for a stock motor.....i used to run 18 through my stock sr20's, but they had metal head gaskets installed.... and sr's have the oil squirters under the pistons.....I've never seen inside a BP 1.8 so i'm a little uncertain as to how much they can take before they let go.... I'm thinking 7 for the street and 12 for the track atm.....But i will let the knock sensor be the judge of that

The only way to find out for sure is to have a race. I don't really car about the numbers on the dyno, as long as the car has a good tune and is running at it's best for the setup i have.

...why not just run both 12psi, if the tune is safe its safe, if it doesn't blow up on the track its not going to on the street....

I see what you mean, most of the time you're off boost anywy but extra power would put more strain on the drivetrain and cooling system more often, dropping the boost might make these last longer as well as Waz's licence.

I am just running a bleeder valve as of yesterday. Trent at Status re tuned the car and here are the results. The red line is my old tune on 7psi and the Yellow is the new tune





160kw at the wheels on 10 psi

The car skates 3rd ! Feels better than my old nissan 180sx that had 220kw atw ......without the lag of the big turbo. Super happy with it.

Going to need to invest in 6speed box or the qauife scynro set with that much power. expect it to bust at some stage.

Sif 6 speed box.. Go ca18 5 speed ($100) + custom bell housing you can afford to pop a box every month!

Wonder if rb25 boxs will fit.. Lol

I just spent the afternoon finishing my coolant re-rout DIY mod.

I am still working on an oil cooler and hopefully will pick up a flywheel this weekend. I want to make sure the temps are all under control before i start thrashing the crap out of it at the track.

Finally got around to putting in the clutch. After the stock one started slipping bad.

So up the car went and out came the exhaust, tail shaft, braces etc......anything that i thought would be in the way.






I removed all the center console as well.


The stock 1.8 flywheel on the right.....shows the difference in contact area.





In with the new (new second hand, Thanks fatty)


The clutch dosn't slip at all..... even with some mid corner kicks at sandown on sat. Pedal is slightly heavier.

A friend of mine was getting his roll cage painted a fancy colour at DT panels in sprinvale and i was lucky enough to be able to throw my cam cover in with it.

Its ment to be "Greddy" brake gold with glitter

Respect to the dude that installs his own clutch especailly on jack stands!

If the gear box is still out the only recomend upgrades that I would have done while I was at it, is the engine mounts and the ss clutch line. (friggin pain to do when the gear box is back on the car)

Hrmz that clutch cover plate looks familiar looks the same as ryan's clutch...

Is the cam cover powder coated??

Im wondering if powder coating can withstand heat from calipers???

i would be s*itting myself trying to undo those tight bolts under a car raised half a meter by 4 jackstands
