The suspension in the NB8B is feeling a little tired (110,000kms). The car is Caitlin's (SWMBO) daily driver and my weekend toy (when I have time).
So with the shock/spring setup, I am very cautious with what I put in as I really don't want to firm up the ride too much. Lowering a little would be good as it does look a little tall on 17" wheels.
Currently considering Kings Lows with Koni shocks - reports are this is quite a firm ride.
I have also just found the BC Coilovers for $1100 which is about the same price as Kings and Koni's but haven't found many reports of them on here.
So, I am really unsure as to what is best for our application.
Any advice?
Thanks
Paul

I have the Tein SSs that are tuned by Fulcrum and they're absolutely bloody marvellous. It's just as compliant as stock but with heaps more control and grip just everywhere.
Cost was around the $2,100 mark. Worth every dollar for a matched spring/damper combo IMO.

2 mths ago I installed a full set of BC coilovers on my wifes celica convertable shopper-
After a little playing with different drive heights I have & more importantly my wife likes the new ride.
Ride is firmer but not not gocart like. Handles way better now.
I would recommnend you also do all the suspension & stablizer bar bushes while your at it.
If your going with BC's, I bought my though a NZ distrubutor and got excellent service and will buy again
through him. Highly recommnended. Free Airmail postage as well.
I ordered my coilovers and had them in my hands 4 days later from NZ to central Vic !!
& no import duy payable.
To contact him : email : james@performanceguru.co.nz
Or track him down on ebay :

I think the Aussie "spec'd" teins have softer springs, the EDFC can be bought fairly cheaply and will give you a "his" and hers" setting at the touch of a button.
I have a setting full soft for long freeway/country drives, a setting for around town, and 2 for motorsport.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

My EDFC was definitely not over $500 from Japan.
I'd have a look at Bilstein PSS9 for something fun and comfy. I'm pretty sure Bigdog and Rodd said they were more comfy than stock on soft. Plus Rod used to have the
modified Wakefield park record on them.
