You can run without the TPS as it is useless as Dave has mentioned. You'll just need to use MAP based for acceleration enrichment.

Did you get the NB6 intake manifold and throttle body with the engine? It has a variable TPS but the IAC is different too.

I fitted the BMW TPS to my NA, but that was to trigger dashpot events to help prevent stalling when a/c was on:

If I were in your shoes I'd be inclined to try and tune it without any TPS, the MAP based method should be decent anyway.

Congrats.
My variable TPS is on STMs car and I'm running on map only right now.
Similar fuel economy, the ebc is not as fast and only hits 10psi now (can't detect full throttle and keep the wastegate closed to reach 12psi). But otherthan that driving is fine.

There are a few different tps to use if you have time to poke your head in a few bonnets.
The audi/vw v6 tps is bolt on too and was cheaper for me than the bmw one ($15).
If there is a wrecking yard where you can pull the bits off yourself, take your old one and look for comparisons.
Or if you're like me, use a similar year mazda (early camry's have them too) to use as a measruing guide (they share the same on/off TPS as stock).

Happy tuning.

It looks great but what is it and what does it do?

After witnessing the awesomeness of ZoomZoom's launch control last weekend I've realised I didn't wire mine in... ECU will have to come out again. :)

Rather than repost a bunch of FAQ type stuff here- check the faq here: http://diyautotune.com/diypnp/faq.html
