Hey Jeo - yep... seems to be exactly that problem.
I was worried about the passenger seats cause even with a bit of bending the original bolts might still be a stretch to get through.
But it sounds like i'll need a bit more elbow grease today to get it done
Where did you source the longer bolt btw?

Super cheap. Just bought a pair of high tensile bolts in the right size. Cost like $2?

If Jeo is correct, why not try the drivers seat instead, then mess with the passenger seat later.

cool thanks guys. will attempt the driver seat tomorrow so fingers crossed.
Might need to put the stock passenger seat back though for the time being.
btw. the install today went pretty well - huge thanks to Broady for giving me a hand (+ i broke a few drill bits... which i'll replace )
Really pissed off about the GV lip though but i'm going to start another thread to find out whether it is actually the wrong one.

Visually can you see that the brackets are bent?
Because when I got mine it was very clear that one of them was crooked, so I bent that back as much as I could and ground off abit of the washer so that it would fit in...
Did you get the brackets the wrong way around?

well... the seats came with the brackets/rails on them and the legs to the rails were bent.
I've already tried to bent them back such that the seat can sit horizontally on flat ground but that didn't fit the holes on the car.
What i'm going to try to do sometime this week is to take the old seats out and measure where the 4 holes are in relation to each other and try to bend the legs of the new seats until the measures match the existing seats... hopefully that will work.
*if only things just work off the shelf...

Are both seats not fitting?
How far off are they? Are you able to get 2-3 bolts in or is this not even close to fitting?
Like I said, my driver seat went in without issue. I could get the two rear bolts in for the passenger seat without much difficulty, front right went in with the help of a hammer, front left was a bastard. It was originally out by about 15-20mm, bending it got it only a few mm off, the Dremel + a longer bolt got us the rest of the way there.

I'm not sure about the driver's seat (haven't tried) but as for the passenger seat, the rear right was fine, the rear left needed some bending, the front right was a good 15mm off and the front left... well... haven't gotten to that until i get the front right on first.
i think i'll need the longer bolt but thanks again for the help, i'll post here again after i have another crack this coming weekend.
