I'm just trying to figure out if I'm doing something wrong or missing a part.
When I put the soft top down and clip the cover over the top, the clips behind the seats along the parcel shelf are fine but it doesn't seem to clip to the current points at the sides. I've got a '89 Eunos Roadster and wondering if theses clips were different in Japan or whether I'm missing something.
This is the clip in question and the one slightly further back behind the seat and is the same on both sides.
Can someone else maybe take a photo of the same clip or explain why I can't clip the cover on properly?
(sorry for phone photos)

Looks to me as though u have a nb model cover. The na style covers had those clips that are on your car
MY07 NC, Mazdaspeed Body, Ohlins, Full GWR Exhaust, 17x9 RPF1's, 4.1FGR and lots lots more

Cool. Thanks for the info. Do you reckon I could buy the clips that came with the NB from somewhere?

Thanks. Yep the photo is the one right next to the door but there is also another one slightly further back towards the rear of the car.
Had a look on mx5parts uk and it would cost about $90 + postage for 4 of the clips. Might try and find a NB at a wreckers or someone parting out their car.

The NB uses a standard type snap to lock fitting- the one on the pillar behind the seat is larger dia than the ones that snap on to the deck. These fittings have been around for ever- you should be able to buy or get one gratis from any motor or boat trimmer or one of the MX5 resellers might have them ( like MX5 factory) If you take the tonneau with you you will be asking for the mating part. Everyone keeps banging on about UK and you would think that we have nothing in our own backyard.

Just wanted to mention that Richard from MX5 Plus hooked me up with some of these clips for... wait for it.... $0!
Yes that's right, he's such a great guy I got them for free!
Although I did buy a hardtop off him as well
