I need advice on my NB Power Steering - I have a "groaning" noise when the car is first started up but only when I move the steering wheel, after 5-10 minutes it is all fine and quiet.
Steering feels normal even when it is making the noise, I first noticed it around 3-4 months back so I completely drained and refilled the power steering fluid which has made no difference at all.
Any suggestions ?

Power Steering heading south?
Check the level again? Is there a leak? In the past on other cars, if there is any noise it is due to low fluid.

Power Steering heading south?
When it began making noise I noticed the fluid level was a little low, since flushing and refilling, the level has remained perfect and no leaking evident ....

Power Steering heading south?
random guess here.
maybe it sucked some air into the pipes? it grinds when it hits an air pocket, and is quiet after it's built some pressure and pushed the air somewhere.

Did you bleed the steering after re-filling it? From memory it's 3 full cycles lock-to-lock with the engine idling.
