Gutter rash repair

Postby broady » Sat Oct 31, 2009 7:05 pm

I am so angry with myself. Was parking in a rush and rashed the lip of my rims.

Does anyone have any idea on the cost to repair, and/or a good place in Sydney to get it done? Would like to keep these wheels immaculate.

Another vote for magman.

I had 4 wheels repaired and resprayed, and a warp removed from one for a total of $400.

That's miles cheaper then anyone else I got a quote from.

Good luck!

Thanks guys. Also got a recommendation from a mate to go there, so will give them a call. Hopefully < $100 to fix.

Magman repaired a buckle in one of my Triumph Sprint Rims

(background, the Triumph Sprint RS is as rare as in this country .. a new set would cost me close to 2000 POUNDS!)

$300, heat treated, dynamically balanced and powdercoated in the factory silver.

all good ....

If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour ... you're gonna see some serious s**t.

If you have the time patience and want to save a quid you can easily fix it yourself. You can either fill it with bog and sand it back then mask off and paint. If it was a polished lip I would file it back smooth then sand then polish. I find filing is the best when not deep as in your case, then painting. How do I know? I'm married...
