Hi all, new Malibu (friend called it "Malibu Stacey".... )has Pedders shocks with 'comfort' sticker ... would anyone know if these are any good...? Standard wheels 14inchers have huge 195 wide which look like donuts.....a bit bouncy.

Pics to come soon as I can work out how to compress the digital pics & add....

cheers.

Welcome. Great to have another Malibu on the forum. My first Malibu had also picked up the same nick-name. Oh, in case you are wondering Tweety is also taken

As for the Pedder shocks.... what kind of ride/driving are you looking for. If you plan any track time or like to go for spirited (legal) drives in the hills/country then I would suggest something like a Koni/King spring combination and go up from there. The other alternative is installing new bushes. These make an amazing difference and totally refresh the suspension, even when running old or not quite right aftermarket shocks. Before you spend the money see if you can beg a ride in another MX-5 with mods and see if said mods suit your driving style....I might even let you have a ride in Tweety if you ask nicely :)

Just looking at your list of current and previous cars I'm now thinking you do like a spirted drive....time to upgrade that suspension :P

what a beauty.

if you're keen, my bilstein height adjustable coilovers with eibach springs may be for sale very shortly..

the ride is firmer than the stock nb8b ride, so would make a good upgrade for na's.

looking for 550.

There are not many Maibus with that stripe. I had one on my first 5, but Tweety does not. Could never decide if I did or didn't like it.
