Re-installed my TB rollbar (installed it a while back but took it out for rego) installed some whiteline adj. swaybars and added a Sparco sprint Junior to my NA8. The rollbar was pretty quick since it was a re-install. The swaybars took a bit of time, mainly threading the front bar past all the aircon and radiator pipes. I'm happy with those, but I'm not 100% happy with the seat.

It sits a little too upright and the lumbar support sucks. Installation was easy, just had to drill two new holes to mount the rails to the seat, and enlarge two holes my 1mm each where the rear of the rails bolt to the floor. The seatbelt was a pain. The buckle is attached to the seat and not the rail. Luckily I got a stalk with the seat, so that is now mounted to the tunnel with the original mount point. I think the stalk is too long but I can get that sorted out.

But, is it a viable option to add a few washers between the rail and the seat/floor to lift the front of the seat a bit? Or is that a big no no?

It was raining this arvo, so I haven't thrown the car around much yet, but the seat is good in the corners. Just a little uncomfortable. I found a nice pillow to try for lumbar support

It's hard to tell what the sways did though as they were added with the rollbar, and a pair of new tyres a few weeks back that I'm still adjusting to make it even harder.

Give yourself time to get used to the seat as it is. They're very comfortable and sit you up properly. Most people have their seats reclined back far too much for both safe driving, and good positioning. No "race" seats are recline-able or lean back, for good reason... Give it a few weeks of regular driving and you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

My lower back was physically tired after driving only 10km. I tried sitting right back in it properly, but it just doesn't suit my shape. I'll see how my lumbar pillow goes

Yeah, the Sparco seat is a very upright seat. While you do get used to it without the lumbar support, it would help fatigue in the seat.
If you're doing a long drive then I found myself slouching even more in my sparco than in the normal seat. While being really straight and upright is good when driving hard, having a bit of comfort is nice on a normal commute.

I bought a lumbar pad thingy from supercheap, but I found it too big, effectively rendering the support around the shoulder useless. If you can get the right size to just slot in there without being too thick, then it would be a great combination.

What and where is your lumbar pillow? Sounds like something I need..
I've got a sprint V in my NB and on the very few occasions I drive it to work (100kms each way) I can barely walk afterwards, and my back is killing me..

It's actually an inflatable beach pillow that my Aunty gave me for christmas a few years back. It's about 30x15cm and because it's inflatable, I can adjust it quite well to the exact thickness I need (from 10cm to zero). I think I need to take a tad more air out of it yet, but this mornings drive was much better than yesterdays. I have no idea where it came from but it's been sitting in my cupboard for a few years and I have finally found a use for it.

The previous owner of my white NA6 had put in check cloth inserts and at the same time installed a device like that;they were great and it was much more comfortable than my current LE.
One used to deflate over a period of time but a couple of pumps soon put if right, the other rarely needed attention.

I find the Sprint very comfortable as is. Last December I drove to Tasmania on holiday and had done 8500kms by the time I got home again. I was so glad I had the Sparco sprint in, it is much more comfortable than the standard NB8A seats, and I had a few 12 hour driving days on that trip....
