Up Montacute Road straight on past the corkscrew turnoff
Marble Hill (One of my favourite bits of tarmac in the world)
Ashton
From Ashton Follow the Basket Range road
Lenswood
Lobethal (Stop for a coffe at the Amberlight)
Cudlee Creek
Gorge Road
Athelstone

PS I used to ride a Motorbike – The Adelaide Hills are superb for bikes and MX5s

Magill, Old Norton Summit Rd, Norton Summit, Ashton, cut across to Greenhill Road, to Summit Road, across Lofty, down to Crafers, Picadilly Road, Summertown, Uraidla, Balhannah, Oakbank, Oakwood Road to Swamp Road, Lenswood, Lobethal, Cudlee Creek, Gorge Road, Corkscrew, down Montacute or left back across to Norton Summit, down either Norton Summit Road or Greenhill Road

I have to say that Lobethal road is my favourite, but going down lobethal road is way better than going up, you have much better visibility through most of the corners and you can safley use the other lane a lot more of the time.

I usually go up gorge because that is closer to home then down Lobethal.

Agree with you Lobie to Ashton is a better drive also Ashton to Montacute is one of my all time favorite drives, the road just flows and is ideally suited to the MX5, twisty enough to exploit the handling and the type of road where more power would slow you down rather than make you quicker....nirvarna

Adelaide has some top roads. Love all those that are mentioned. Also a big fan of a cruise down to Cape Jervis via the ocean road. More of a relaxed cruise with sweeping turns that a technical road like lobey.

Cruises draw to much attention to the cars, something I don't need. If anyone really wants to have a drive then open practice at Mallala is the way to go. The next ones the end of November for me.

I got what u mean. but i 'd say Mx5's arent those Nissan's. Cops doesnt really look at.
I truely understand becoz i have R34 as well.

I'm not thinking a huge no. of people. however, 3 to 5 cars should be great. share some experience on different things with miata.
