Hey Wazman, what did you do with the" ventilation hose" on the exhaust side of the rocker cover (under the oil cap)? Actually, what does it do?

I know the part your talking about, I've got the exact same setup for my intake on my car, legally I think you need a catch can, but I just put a breather on it (looks like a really small pod filter). I think you can get defected for the breather, but at the moment my cars so unnoticeable to the disco van's it doesn't matter to me. I couldn't tell you what it does, lol someone else will have to handle that.

Cheers

Matty

That pipe looks just like a breather for the top of the engine. Plumbed back into the inlet so any oil fumes go back into the engine so it is a closed-system to meet emissions. A breather or catch-can would not be legal as both usually vent to atmosphere. I wouldn't be fussed about it though - i'd use a tiny filter on it.

What do you think of the adaptronic? How hard was it to install? Did it run fine on the base maps? ... very tempted to get one.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

do not use tie rod spacers, if you collect something mid drift, the whole assembly will fall apart. (out comes the tie rod)

Get some secret element tie rod ends/or modify your knucles.

We talking mx5s only or in general?

i been using spacers for over 2 years now... not a single problem... all of the boys had no issues either.

MX5's, the thread on the tie rod is too short with a spacer, basically if you hit something, it will pop out of place, and you will be in a whole lot of trouble.
