Put a kevlar layer in and you will be fine. All v8 supercar parts have to be made with a kevlar layer to prevent shattering I think.

it would work for a time, from memory hydro handbrakes have a habit of creeping (ie: slowly releasing over time)

so while it will hold the car when you walk off, there's no guarantee that the car wont have rolled away when you get back.

however, since the hydro uses independant calipers, you may be able to have the hydro for track/skidpan, and still leave the cable handbrake to work off the other calipers.

I had a Subaru AWD that had a haudralic handbrake that would do just that on a hill. It could sit there for 8 hours and then all of a sudden you would see it slowly creeping down the hill, and it was always left in gear.

The plan of attack from here is as follows:
(1) During this week the engine will be prepared to receive the supercharger kit
(2) This Saturday will see the supercharger bolted to the engine
(3) Assess what other items are required before the engine can be sent out for testing and tuning

So stay tuned for more regular updates....

Cheers,
Danny

Danny,
Thank-you for sharing your project with us. When I am in Brisbane next I will come over and wash it for you. :)

Regards.
Greg.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

would this fit into a particular race category if you wanted to compete with it?
