Yeah, well done Joni great day. Just refueled back home. Travelled a total of 537.1 k's on 38.24 ltrs fuel = 7.11ltr/100k's, pretty happy with that. Nice to catch up with a lot of you, some I haven't seen for several years.
I think someone counted 84 cars at the stop at LORNE, good turn up but I thought we might have had more than that.
Thanks to all.

Regards,
Col

WOW! Sounds like you guys all had a great day!
Well done to the organisers!

I was cycling back from Point Wilson to Hoppers and had a heap of MX5's go past me after midday.
But since I was in lycra I thought it best I didn't wave

Great day - thanks Chris & Joni. Terrific to see so many happy Mx'ers gathered for one event - Joni said she thinks there were 87 cars. Nice to see that Wun managed to crawl out of bed and join us. The early start doesn't seem so bad once the sun starts to rise and the GOR is always worth it despite all the mobile roadblocks (bloody Toorak taxis  ). :D :D

What they said. Great job Joni and Chris. The weather was fantastic, though I did panic when we drove further onto Port Campbell and a few drops of rain fell. You have never seen someone rip off, pull-a-part and attempt to jam a 3 piece softtop hardcover into an MX-5 boot so fast

And thanks Mick... you and cycle shorts  :P

THANKS everyone for turning up, even though you had to get up in the middle of the night to come!

THANKS to Sam, Rob, Bill & Murray for running the groups!

THANKS to Ben for taking the picys!

HOPE you can all come next year, maybe less cars which means quicker run down? Or if we get stuck behind a Honda with a "Rally art" sticker on it.. maybe not!

I will post when I know date for next year

Pls feel free to provide me with feedback or suggested improvements PM or on here, as we want to keep on improving it ever year, like the ultimate wave on Point Break (poor Patrick!)

Thanks again for making the effort to come one and all! It was good to put faces to names...

Joni & Chris

Thanks Joni, it was a great day. Good to see so many MX5's out having fun on one of the best roads in Victoria, allthough it does need a little fixing in some areas.

I think the run groups worked well. I would be happy to lead a group again in the future.

If only we could guarantee a good run home as well! We kept getting stuck behind rental cars (Corolla's and Camry's) that were too busy looking out at the beach to notice the line of 10+ cars behind them.

The lovely Jennifer and I headed off to Port Campbell and Petersborough after the run. We then headed back to the A1 via New Field, Cowleys Creek and Irrewillipe around 4pm...hardly any traffic and some great roads.
