Just a quick reminder/alert:
RE: Club Members wanting to use the Kings Way On Ramp (closed) to get to the Todd Road Service Centre on the Westgate Freeway Sunday morning.
• All members coming from the South Eastern Freeway/City Link tunnel or the Bolte Bridge are not affected. It is only people using the Kings Way On Ramp.
• Vic Road have advised of the Detour Route. There will be flashing arrows and Vic Roads personnel available throughout the Detour Route. Traffic coming from Nepean Highway and up Kings Way, will need to exit Kings Way to Moray Street, Clarendon Street, Normanby Road, Williamstown Road, Plummer Street and Prohasky Street and should allow a little extra time for the journey.
• Estimated opening time for all of the new on ramps is 8am Sunday morning; however, there is a chance that the new on ramps will open early. Signage will be advising of this if it is the case.
• Please leave plenty of time to get to the meeting point if you are coming from the Nepean Hwy.
• There is also extensive works in the area, so we advise all Club Members attending this event to take care and allow plenty of time to arrive at the Todd Road Service Centre meeting point at 5.30am for a 6am start.
• Website on the changes affecting this area is available on http://www.mcwupgrade.com.au/ . This has up to date traffic information. It also includes a driving simulator for the new changes to the M1.
• Many thanks to Club Member ‘Perry’ for alerting us to the above.
• Also remember that it is daylight savings, so turn your clocks forward one hour prior to going to bed on Saturday evening.
See you Sunday morning bright and early!,
Chris & Joni

For the directionally challenged (ME), is it the shell servo heading outbound (melton, ballarat) from the city towards crossing the westgate bridge ?
I'd love to see all the cars getting ready to leave on the trip and i may even be able to go part of the way.

The road works are a great excuse to cruise thru the City Link Tunnel, of course you do that in a low gear with the radio off listening to the Town & Country exhaust system Sweet sweet music !!
My little 'Toy' thinks she's actually a Ferrari !!

Yes, it is the Coles Express (Shell) servo outbond, prior to the Westgate bridge.

Kris - you can join online through the Club's membership portal www.mx5vic.org.au - using credit card (secure site)
or else catch up with Bill Campbell, Membership Officer - he is run leader for group Four (PINK!) - he has a few MX-5's so I can't say which one will be out to play on Sunday!
See you ALL Sunday mornin'...
