Just changed the dash lights over to white leds. Thought about blue or red, etc but I went with the bright white needles and odometer... Thoughts?

Not bad. It looks good. Though there is a little dim spots in both tacho (around 3) and speedo (around 150), but overall it is well illluminated.

Which LEDs did you use?

Hammer, I used ZPE Mazda MX5 Miata 1989 - 2005 Blue Dash LED kit from eBay. I just specified white instead of blue. I know about scraping the green off the back or even changing the dials to white, but I couldn't be porked going to that much trouble. Switching out the bulbs is quick and easy and makes the OEM green really pop. I think it looks better in the flesh than in the photos, the needles glow bright white and the green is more vivid. And yes, the white odometer IS porn... 8)

Looks like the throw of the beam has improved heaps since I did mine, might need to upgrade.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I'm going to have to do it all over again once the JDM cluster arrives

Hey Guys and girls,
I acquired a 2002 NB just recently, my first ever ownership of a convertable and I love it. Mine has white faced dials with terrible red lighting which I would love to change. How do I get at the dashboard lights to change tthem to LED?
Cheers
David

maybe the backing on the dials are orange too. you may need to sand them down.

i changed the LED to my odometer to green.. without a bulb in place, it would shine a dim orange..
