I'm willing to sacrafice the din that contains the lighter atm and move the lighter plug to elsewhere... However, I doubt the quality would be any good though...

Has anyone seen something similar but of better quality? Don't mind paying $50+ if it's better quality...

I recently solved my cupholder dilemma.

Fire extinguisher mounted on floor in front of passenger seat, and my old one I mounted up on the side of the centre console. The gap between both of them accidentally worked out to be perfect!

Not for everyone though. :-D

Great for those buckets of coke you need on road trips.

Regarding other things, I sit fairly forward (because I'm all girly like that) so I can fit my spare tyre behind my driver's seat. I've also managed to fit an entire week's worth of dirty laundry behind there too coming home from holidays... in and on top of the spare. I've also stored bags and bulkier 'precious' items on the parcel shelf, strapped to the roll bar.

+1 for stuffing things up beside the fuel tank.

I have a custom made bag that sits just behind the seats on the rear shelf, they're made in NZ and usually sold via ebay. Its big enough for a couple of sleeping bags and a dome tent.

It's basically a plastic box that uses one of the DINs and there's 2 compartments.

the one on top is just like a shallow tray (like so shallow that you can only fit paper or coins.

the one on the bottom pulls out and unfolds into something that you can put 2 cans through.

that actually looks like a great idea, and very neat too! (except maybe the words on the front)

the only problem I can think is you may end up punching your drinks when you change into 1st 3rd or 5th.

Hks is on the money there. It looks neat, but will probably be pretty useless.

When i replaced the 1.5 din radio with a 1 din in my NA6 i filled the gap with a pop out cupholder i had lying around in the cupboard from my Corolla SX days (originally found it on an AE92 JDM front cut at a wreckers). Looked clean, but you couldnt extend it out without hitting the gearknob. Cant image there would be any more room in a NB.

I can remember a posting that you could buy from BMW and listed part number for Mx5's where you could fit those string type holders like you see on MG's and on the backs of front passenger seats on some cars.

The string type holders will fit on both sides of the console. Simply a matter of putting in a couple of studs to hold them.

They will hold papers, small items. I, have seen a few Mx5's with them in QLD.
