Anyone know what these seats are and where I can find them?
See this thread I started a while ago. In the end, the easiest option is to go the Mazdaspeed seats. As I've mentioned numerous times over, they're the perfect compromise between complete sportiness and driving comfort. They're much more comfortable than the factory NB8A seats, that's for sure. And since Rupewrecht on AstinaGT frequently sells them, they're reasonably easy to get a hold of.

true marcus - i was just hoping that there might be a pair of seats that have all the Pros of Mazdaspeed seats but are 100% geniune leather (which those seats are not... i believe the leather bits are no real leather??)

That's correct, but I was originally searching for leather as well. Having used these, I'm not concerned with it anymore. The stuff on the Mazdaspeeds is vinyl around the sides with mesh in the middle. The good thing about this is that you don't slide around on the seats like you would with leather (unless you got suede or some such) when you're on the track. The vinyl is just as easy to clean as leather. It's just the cloth parts which are a bit trickier to clean, but they're not overly difficult to do anyway.
In the end, if it's comfort you're after, these are certaintly a good option. As for the leather, you won't even notice you aren't sitting on it. You can "feel" the "leather" with the vinyl parts, and you won't even notice the cloth bits because you'll be firmly seated on those bits

Here is a thread from the big forum.
http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.ph ... light=seat
And another one, this time on fitting Honda S2000 seats.

There happens to be a pair of S2000 seats on flea bay.

There is also the range of seats from AutotecnicA.

I assume you have considered that an engineers certificate maybe required?

Careful with the S2000 seats. The seatbelt is mounted to the seat itself which in a accident, will cause extra force to be put through the seat runners.
When swapping seats you should always aim for the same seatbelt mounting location.

NB seats buckles are mounted at the seat/rails? not at the transmission fire wall...

Only NA6s have the seat buckle on the transmission tunnel. NA8 onwards have it on the seatrail.

Depending on how I feel about the SE seats when the weather warms up, there's a chance I will sell them and replace them with something a bit more sporty and just fabric material.
However, this will only happen if I really don't like how the seats feel in the warm weather.

leather + sun = hot
Don't you SE people slide on those leather seats? it's already hard enough trying to stay put on fabric seats.
