anyone know the internal diameter of the tie rod end thread?
i went to get one and the replacement was 14mm it slipped over the tie rod thread, i think the one on mine is 12/12.5 , bloke at the spares shop said its modified then?
seems weird someone would put a smaller steering tie rod on? i think the one he had must have been from a newer model.
anyone have an after market spares number for a 1991 NA so i can chase it up. ( i have the oem number from a pdf manual off this site its 8AN1-32-280 ) but that means nothing to the local spares guy.
mine has a goose/swan neck on it, its nothing like the picture in the pdf?
any takers....

Just checked my listings also and we have listed in our CAT that the TRE is 14mm but the RE is 12mm.
Which makes no sense at all. I think my TRE listing is wrong. will see what we come up with.
Faily sure you will need a 12mm TRE.
