^^^^ Yeah i just let mine sit in the engine bay in front of the pod filter.

Finally got some bits together for something important.........



The flanges are 12mm stainless steel. The bends are CAST stainless steam pipe bends.
I didn't want it to crack in 12 months......hence the steam pipe





here looks good.....just allow enough room for a gtrs later on



Give my house mate a ccokie and away we go.....



bolt the flanges in place and weld some temp braces to hold the turbo exhaust flange in position, so the bends can be jigsawed into position.





The fitting up of all the bends will be later..... very labor intensive..... stay tuned

Is he going to try and make an equal-length manifold or just adding a bit of distance between the turbo and the exhaust valves?

Looking good mate.

Out of interest, are you going to 'clock' the turbo housing to spin the outlet around? At the moment the it appears to be pointing at an angle towards the bonnet?

The turbo's rotation will stay as is....... due to the actuator mounting position. The hot pipe should be fairly easy to make from there.

I'll be cutting and he will welding......We will do our best to keep the runners the same length.

Viski (my house mate) is a welder by trade...... so this stuff is like coming home from work to do more work.........which i'm sure he thanks me for

Viski (my house mate) got the flanges cut at his work.....cost a slab of beer the bends he got from a stainless specialty place. He said if this one is not a pain in the butt to make he might make a jig and we can sell a few if people are interested........wont be cheap though.... bends were around $30 each..... cant remember atm exact how much....

I'll try get as many pics as i can though he is camera shy

my house mate bought himself a dirt bike and took up enduro racing...... so he is distracted atm

he dose it all day at work so i dont like to tell him to do more when he gets home..... he'll get to it in his own time.
