removing stock NA antenna

Any idea how? The grommet at the base of the antenna on the body doesn't want to turn, so so far as i know that doesnt unscrew? clues? I did a quick search but couldn't find anything. I found the power antenna for NA guide, but it skipped the whole removing it bit...

It unscrews. Put some cloth over the base metal, clamp it with pliers, should be very easy.

I found my circlip pliers fitted into the holes in the chrome cap perfectly and enabled me to unscrew it.
Don't drive it........RALLY it!

Next time two NA owners get together, they should bring fencing gear and have a duel. The antennas would make great fencing swords.
