2004 SE Wiring HELP

This is the USA diagram that I am using because Mazda Aus would not sell me a Maintenance Manual when I bought my SE.



The USA cars have two heated O2 sensors whereas the SE only has the FRONT one.

Can someone please confirm that the wiring from the single O2 sensor to the ecu is still the same terminals and colour coding?

i.e. Blue (O2 sensor signal) to terminal 4W.

Boris, you do not have intercept the 02 sensor line directly behind the ECU, if you are trying to hook the up the 02 clamp.

Intercept the 02 sensor line directly behind the rocker cover in the engine bay. You cant miss it, it is the only front 02 sensor plug we have. We do not have a rear 02 sensor going to the CAT.

Run the wire along with the pressure signal through the firewall and leave the 02 clamp in the passenger footwell.

Added bonus you dont have remove the ridicilous security bolts to get to the ECU. Unless you plan on doing an ECU upgrade.

You will be hard pressed finding anyone providing with you AU SE ECU pinout diagram, unless you purchase aftermarket ECU/harness locally.

Splice it in engine bay.
I mounted my clamp just under dash/centre console on drivers side so i can hear it work when roof is up.

Yes it's for the O2 clamp and yes that sounds sooooo much easier. However, I am just trying to find the correct wire/s to connect to since I have the FM kit that refers only to the MSM's. I also have a separate wiring diagram book with the colour codings.
It shows the four wires from the MSM oxygen sensor (front of course) as :-
B/W black/white from the ignition switch
B/O black/orange to terminal 3J at the PCM
B/R black/red to engine control system
L blue to terminal 4W at the PCM (the one to connect to)

I will have to wait until the morning to get a better look at the colours but it looks like 3 blacks are there with a white lead?

Did you earth at the local strap?

I am not expecting any improvements with this mod. alone but it's my intention to try the TPS mod. after this and see if that helps any.
If they don't, I'll just pull it all out again.

A major OT, but Boris, did you take your Aussie SE to the UK? Do they sell SEs in the UK?

Took mine with me. None sold in Europe.

My colours do not match the wiring diagrams that I have.

There are two blacks, a blue and a white. Anyone help?
