Postby rota1300t » Tue Sep 01, 2009 1:37 am

this is a pic of my last mx5 na6, just custome paint coil overs and wheels, it was a cheap build up but was awsome fun to drive.

Image

ive come across from aus rota were so many guys post pics of show winning drag cars, fancy paint and engine bays, wicked trim etc

im a bit disapointed to not see the same level of pics here, i know there are good mx5 out there i just want to see more pics etc

well i have a plan for mine, i just bought it its a bog stock 89 model na6 ive had them b4, this one is going to be a full strip down, jet black paint, deep red trim with black baseball stiching, rebuilt motor and big turbo, full chrome everything, boyd billet wheels. i want show and go

i guess the good thing about this site is doesnt seem to many people go down my track with there cars and it will be nice to be different,

loved seeing the pics of cars i could find, keep posting them up guys and any show mx5s point me in the direction of pics please thanks guys and girls

Majority of the 5's on this site, arent built to win shows, to be extremely flashy with chrome everything, they are built to the individuals taste.

The plans for your car seem "interesting", doesn't sound like my cup of tea though, curious on how you can determine it to be the best NA in australia though =/

do some searching around the forum, there are some crazy NA's floating around ... mx52nv would be a good example.

When I had my MX-5 it was a bit done up as the Mario Kart, if the engine hadn't started dieing at 266,000Ks requiring a replacement I would have gone further with the mods. Like putting in a Nintendo Wii, steering wheel controllers, screens in the sun visors, under boot lid screen for in car multiplayer Mario Kart action at car shows & the like.

One day when I get an SE I'll resume the Mario Kart plans.

Now Now, Adam. , Jarrod/rota1300t has been around a long time... just not on this forum.

I believe he will build a tough car and he has the 'know how' to do it.

Welcome, start looking at the garage section at the top of the page.

We have a few highly modified MX-5s in our club... these might inspire you.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Babalouie/Lachy's car is still the best-looking NA in Aus IMHO

You haven't looked hard enough. There are plenty of heavily modified 5s in Australia and worlwide.
Also consider that we are talking of one model of car here, compared with all the different rotaries available (well, in the past).
Regards your questioning post title, I would say 'no', as there are some fantastic cars already.

dont forget ive come from leb style rotaries lol i have found my ideas changing as i look throu the posts on this site and others seems race and clean is how most go
