MX5 - SLAMMED 1990 NA6CE
i certainly did.
hoping they will. i really need to get the hardtop sprayed.
on another note, got defected for too much slammedness (was only a matter of time) and also for stuffed rear tyres. $120 fine +RWC costs.
at the same time, got done for no rear p plate. $200 fine and 3 demerits, which for me, equals loss of license.
i love weekends.

sh*t! Sorry to hear that mate. Maybe I should put my rear plate back up... But it looks so ugly... Looking forward to seeing the car with the new wheels.

it does hey!
i didn't even have a chance to clean the hardtop, let alone buy p plates and put one up.
it's an awkward window to put a p plate on i think, can't really put it on the curve and it looks stupid in the middle. totally frustrating.
i suggest putting it up. they went easy when defecting me. all they seemed to be concerned with was my drivers seatbelt, the steering wheel, how many coils i'd cut off the springs (honeslty, what the hell!) and obviously the ride height.
looks like i'll have to get around in the grandpa/stealth mobile for a few months.

shots are all after a rise to legal ride height (borderline )
colours look a little bit ridiculous at the moment. like a 3 year olds lego car. white wheels, red roof, blue body, little bit of green etc.

Nice mate, wheels look good. Even though it isnt "slammed" right now it still looks great at that height, that was the height of my old NA6. maybe a touch lower at the back though.

Needs to be a bit lower, at least fill up the guards.
You will still be over 100mm

If you go too low, you ruin the handling.
Try and keep it so your lower control arms don't go too far past horizontal. Even mine has sat too low in the past to the detriment of its driveability.

i had it as low as it goes. well below 'sensible'. i raised it from there to 'sensible' and it handled fantastically. i'm yet to find a good place to go for a quality wheel alignment in Geelong, which will make all the difference when i get my new tyres sorted, defect cleared, re-lowered a touch and yeah. it should really be the go-kart it was always intended to be.

Possibly for sale. I'll issue an official EOI in the classifieds when I've decided.
If you're potentially interested in a good cheap buy with modifications either included or separated, PM me.
It will be potentially sold with a brand new RWC and two new RE001 Adrenalines.

I'm yet to settle on a price. $9500 ballpark. I've recently spent about half that in modifications and maintenance alone.

Car likes to entice me into driving stupidly.
I'm either going to kill or injure myself, kill or injure somebody else, or kill and injure my wallet.
I want a comfy automatic daily.
I like my other car better.
My other car is less of a money pit.
If I do end up selling it, I will most likely miss it and go back to one one-day.
