Thanks to (craig) MXfive95 for the suspension/spings. Had them fitted today, and the difference is amazing. I dont have to brace myself at the sight of bumpy roads anymore.
When I picked them up from Craig, he thinks the ones on my car may have been Mazda racing springs? (if memory serves me correct). None the less they were red in color and as rough as gutz. I think they were pretty much dead. When I picked the 5 up today, I totally get what you all mean when you say it looks like a tractor! It now considerably higher than before, but
I am going to enjoy my 5 a whole lot more now :)

Does look a bit tractor-ish, but hopefully it's for the better.

Off topic but is the hardtop a flat black or is it just the lighting?

I love my "urban rally" height too. The stiff, low thing only works when the car is parked. It looks good. Driving around is a pain.

Many slammers will disagree though!

ENJOY!
Cheers,
Ando

Joe I would say my hardtop is closer to matt black. I picked it up second hand from a guy selling his 89 NA back in January.

Now you know what a standard suspension feels like, it's time to get Koni/Bilstein/BC/Tein and achieve proper control
