Any help/ knowledge is greatly appreciated 8)

very highly thought of - some comments in this group buy which at the time couldn't achieve the numbers it required for a discount: viewtopic.php?f=82&t=36378

there's a few other posts on the forum - all positive from memory, & it's even growing a market in US & Europe.

I've got one in my NB8A, from Mania.
Unplug factory ecu, plug in PnP harness, wire in 3 wires for MAP sensor, turn key and car started (on Mania generic tune) and ran with no issues.

Nice and easy to tune/adjust via the downloadable WARI software. Can save/load infinite number of tunes.
In my case, did all I wanted and significantly less $ than most of the other options, as well as being more configurable (as well as future options of traction control, launch control, with additional sensors..)
Valet parking mode with 1 second change and 30 secs to upload to ECU..

I did get mine dyno tuned properly before using it in anger, though overall very happy with it, and would get another one again if doing it over..

Philz,

Only a front mount CAI and rear muffler, so gain isnt that much. Maybe 7kw extra at peak, but I wasn't interested in peak figure so it would be higher if you wanted it tuned for peak.

I got the ECU mainly to allow me to remove the AFM and to fit cams which I'll probably now do next year (maybe) Car runs that good as is that I might skip the cams and spend the $$ on another years worth of r spec tyres instead..

A friend has an Adaptronic ECU in his 300ZX TT powered Navara ute, and he raves about them. He's well versed in setting up and tuning Microtech, EMS and now Adaptronic. From what he has told me, they are very easy to use, well featured, well priced, and very well supported. I'd love to try one!

Me and my mates have been customers with "status" from the start.........He knows i wont get it tuned anywhere else.

Trent from Status has put 4 of them into toyota sprinters and tuned them, says they are a great product for the price......way better than a wolf or microtech.

My NB8a is now turboed with a t25g garret turbo off a silvia (sr20det) 550cc bosch injectors, pwr intercooler and 3 inch exhaust .
The red line is my first tune at 7 psi and the yellow is the latest tune at 10 psi

it made 160 rwkw at 10psi :D

Big thanks to Trent and Cat @ Status tuning, Both were very helpful.

For those of you that are looking for a tuner that cant do carbies ("SU's" etc) I believe you should go talk to Trent at Status, he just recently tuned a mini with a single su and will soon be tuning my dad's triumph TR4a. (Just thought i'd mention it as my dad has been looking for someone to do it for a while now)
