Ok after going to the track i am a bit worried about my actual temps and decided its time to put some gauges in....... copying the S15 silvia style i'll put em in the air vents because i dont want ugly pods on my dash.....
I bought a set of "osiris" 63mm gauges off ebay. Water temp, oil temp and.......boost !
I began by removing the shifter and stereo surrounds.....
Disconnect the lighter plug by squeezing the little tab thing down and pulling..... it should come off easy.
Next bit is the interesting bit..... getting the ball vents out.....They are held in by two clips on either side of each vent.
To get them out i stuck my hand in where the pocket hole was (which also just clips in at the sides, i just pried each side out carefully with a rag rapped flat blade screw driver) (the rag prevents damaging the plastic's) I poked up each side of the vents from below until i felt the small flat blade screw driver wedge in between the white clip socket bit and the black tube vent side.... then i just twisted the screw driver a bit and this undid the clip bit enough to wiggle each side out at once...... I hope the pics help explain what i'm trying to say
My finger is pointing to where the clip point is on the vent once removed....
I did pull my glove box out to look up in behind there to see what was holding these suckers in after some serious yanking yeilded no results.
To get the glove box out just squeeze the sides in where the stopper lugs are and let it swing down then pull each hinged side down and it just unclips.
This also made it easy to see what held the pocket in place below the stereo.

nothing horrible, but still i think maybe someone thats less of an axe butcher could do it nicer than me
