NSW MX5 CLUB - PAUL'S MEANDERINGS IN MACARTHUR 16TH AUGUST
WHEN: SUNDAY 16TH AUGUST, 2009
MEET: CAFE SILLAR, CNR BEECH ROAD & PARKERS FARM PLACE CASULA (Near Bing Lee)
TIME: 9.00AM FOR 9.30AM DEPARTURE
DETAILS: Meandering through the Macarthur area followed with lunch at Campbelltown Catholic Club. We will be stopping for a "pit stop" at a surprise venue. There may not be any shops so if you think you will need a caffeine hit bring your own. There are plenty of good winding roads and close to home for most. It is an easy return home along the F5 from the Catholic Club.
RSVP None required just turn up on the day and numbers will be taken for those eating at the Club on the morning of the run.

No worries Paul, I won't have to post too many more. Looked up where the starting point was yesterday not too far about 40 minute drive. Looking forward to it seems like I haven't been on a run for ages. Will charge up the radios. Hopefully we continue with the fine weather although it could be a little warmer. Cheers Kim.

A big thanks to Paul and Mrs Paul for a top day. You couldn't have had a nicer day for meandering through the countryside. I travelled on some new roads and some roads I haven't been on for many years. Only a few people got midly lost but that's pretty much to be expected on a normal club run.
So now you've done your first run it can only get easier. Good luck with the Captain's job next year.
PS: I should apologise to everyone for jumping the queue near the start of the run. I wondered why no one was in the right lane at the lights, I didn't realise the right lane turned right until it was to late. Guess that's what happens when you dont read the run sheet while you're driving.

Thanks Guys for a great run!
Great roads with no traffic lights, not too much other traffic. We couldn't have asked for a better day. It is just a little too early in the year to get sunburn!
It was only at the end that we got lost and that was because all the people behind me decided not to follow. I was then silly enough to think that maybe I was wrong, and I followed them! But then it wouldn't be a club run without some people getting lost.

Thanks Paul & Di for organising a great run.
What happened to winter. Sun cream needed
I did the same as Garry jumping those lights. Like Garry I was driving and trying to read the notes and followed him up the turning lane and later on in the run like Jean I was sitting at the lights when the following pack turned left.
It is a club run so someone has to get lost.

Thanks Paul & Di for a great day. The weather was exceptional. Now that you have this run under your belt look forward to more in the future as Club Captain. Great club for lunch and the day was topped off by a sensational win by THE TIGERS.
