The article is about two years old. I know the owner of the Malibu as he is a former member of the Vic club. I spoke to his wife after I read the article and she told me they were disappointed with the article. They had written to the publisher and had not received a response.

The article in MOTOR that featured the Malibu is 4 years old actually. It was published in the Aug 2005 issue. For some, that might seem like a long time ago, but for others it's obviously a very recent memory! I guess it depends on your frame of reference.

It is not at all unusual for MOTOR to use "artistic license" and ignore complaints. I've been giving them constructive criticism on their calculation method for "Bang for your Bucks" for the last few years and they've yet to pay the advice any attention.
