thermostat died in my NC

thermostat died in my NC yesterady caused coolant to leak everywhere. Mazda told me that they have never seen a thermostat die in a NC so ealry. Anyone else had one die?

Car is on 52,000km

27,000 ks and no thermostat drama. hope it stays that way!

Where did the leak come from? I guess it failed shut, thus causing overheating and coolant to come out of the hose joins?

95000 k's and all's well. What you have to do is DRIVE IT MORE so it doesn't cool down. Cheers Johno

back to normal. mazda replaced it on warranty
