The big ugly wing seems to work.
I attended the second round of the MX5 Club of Victoria championship today at Winton and it was a great day.
The weather was excellent for turbos with cold crisp air all day long. Twisted Evil
I did have a 'wheel nut issue' during the first session, before said issue, I managed to snag a new PB of 1:39.4.
Breaking 1:40 has always been a massive target for me for a few years now and I'm over the moon to finally get there.
Anyway, here's the new PB vid....

I haven't checked this thread for a year........ NICE WORK!
You've done pretty much everything I've wanted to do to mine, AVO kit, black hardtop and windscreen surround, black front lip. Awesome.
Any chance of some flash photos around the back of the engine bay? I have a few bits I'm not sure about with my AVO kit atm. Cheers

I've only skimmed through this thread in the past, but have read it through now.
This is like a template for so many people's ideal of the perfect Roadster!
Everything - the colour, turbo but not crazy horsepower, two power maps, tasteful Japanese mods, love it!
OK... i'm not crazy on the wing, but for a change you are actually using it for it's intended purpose. So that makes it legitimate.

Thanks for the nice words. I agree Matt, the wing is fugly, but I only put the boot on that has the wing attached at track days.
If you still need some photo's Adam, send me a PM.
After 'fusing' my brakes shut at Sandown 2 months ago I thought a bit of an upgrade was in order.
Finally got to fitting new wheels, tyres, and brakes.
Wheels are 6UL's.
Tyres are Kumho V70A 225/45/15.
Brakes are Goodwin's Series IV, 4 wheel big brake kit with the 6 Piston option (Yay for the strong aussie $$).

Dave, here's hoping you make it to the island, and no mate, I didn't leave a nut/key thingy.
Phil, not difficult. Thanks Chris
Ad, front only, re-use the rear calipers with a bracket to run bigger discs.
