Great photos Keith, just letting you all know I'm ok.
I got away with 17 stitches in the head, badly bruised hip and lower back and a ruined eunos roadster.
I will update my photo diary in the next few days with a detailed story of the day and what exactly happened...
Now, back to being fussed over by the missus and some more fruit salad!

Long story short, coming into a bend on Donna buang, slowed right down as I saw the car in front break traction, proceeded to turn, hit black ice and hit a gum tree head on at 55kmph, I'm very lucky to be alive, the car on the other hand is destroyed, soft top won't line up so it's well beyond repair... No mx5 for me for a while, I don't seem to have much luck with them...

*turns on Sherlock holmes voice* Wow Andrew! Just noticed that in the second last photo, you swiftly missed the polar bear. I salute you for being such a brave animal photographer

Black Ice is actually one layer of ice that hasn't thawed properly when more rain or dew settles over & then freezes AGAIN with no discernible colour & you can't see it, first thing you know you're sliding with no chance of stopping, very nasty stuff
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often
