It's all MX52NV's fault.. while recovering in hospital.. he told me about the upgraded pistons and conrods.
The nurses weren't really that hot.. but I started thinking about what I can do to my NB Turbo.. 160rwkh is pretty average these days..
I don't *really* want to mess around with it alot more. So much was done before and it's really a sweet package.
A new HKS turbo coul make a big difference to the throttle response.. some bigger wheels/tyres.. Maybe those conrods and pistons.
When I started, the plan was to make the NB as fast as a Boxster S, M3 (E40/E46) and most of your garden snail Silvias, Evos and Rexes.
It did the job.
But what next ?
I'm thinking about an LS3... I've seen the guys in the US doing it... What legal / ADR issues do u guys reckon I would have ? Emissions will be bog stock so no probs with that.. just the mods to the chassis, and keeping myself from speccing a loud exhaust... If I do go down this route, I probably could sell off the whole engine and package that's on my car now.. I suppose that's a bonus ?

I know a good mechanic with the domestic taxis, I can give you his details, might be worth having a chat to him to see how much engines etc can be sourced locally.
Not sure what's involved in engineering, my mate got his silvia registered with a VH45 in it but he had everything approved before he began.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Some interesting stuff here
http://www.performanceforums.com/forums ... 680&page=9
FWIW My car took ages and a fair bit of money to get the paperwork/engineering done.
I don't need to re-engineer it if I upgrade conrods, gearbox, turbo..
Don't want to be the pathfinder for an LS3 unless there a few people willing to share the cost
