Question - Aftermarket Front bumper for NB(8A)
Guys… is there any difference between..
This:
http://www.mx5mania.com.au/product1281.htm
And This:
http://www.carmate.com.au/product_details.php?productid=MZMX598MSFB
I think they’re the same thing?! (other than the price )
I know it’s made of fibreglass and they can be quite brittle… MXHVEN and Sliq have both warned me about it already – I just want to head about other people’s experiences with them and exactly how ‘easily’ do they crack/dent?....

I've heard it's not just service that is bad. The parts don't fit well. You get what you pay for.

David @ Mania also has this nose fitted to his NB8A Evo Gold race car. So you can see it fitted.

stay as far away from carmate as you can, there bodykits dont fit for sh*t!
Manias "replica" gv front bar, is pricey, but it is a perfect fit.
I still think you should rock a GV lip, its cheaper then painting a full bumper, its already black, and its that urethane stuff.

Question - Aftermarket Front bumper for NB(8A)
... but... but... but... i like the way it looks
As long as i don't do anything stupid like crashing it or going through a hump at anything more than 20kms it should be alright ;)
Anyone knows a good bumper painter who will also fit the front bumper, side skirts and boot lip as well that is near the lower north shore?
Mania recommended this place in Hornsby but it's a bit out of the way...

Majority of aftermarket bumpers are firbreglass ... period.
just dont go to carmate, the savings arent worh the hassle of "making it fit".

fitting/removing it isn't hard at all.. only takes 5 minutes (by an experienced mechanic/panel beater) to remove..
i'd say.. 30 minutes at most for your everyday joe.
