Rodders Ride- Now with Splitter

Postby Hot Rodders » Sun Jul 19, 2009 5:35 pm

Hi guys. I've just had the front spoiler and nose repainted and have addes a splitter to protect the fresh paint job. Work was carried out by MX5 Factory. Thanks to Dick and his crew.

It looks awesome with it. Just a nice little touch that finishes off the front really well.

Mind giving some details about it?

I agree with Zawrilla, looks really nice. It finishes off the edge of the normal lip and removes the rounded edge from it.

It's a Miata Air Splitter/Protector put out by Track Dog Racing. I purchased it from James at MX5 Centre in Melbourne

"The Track Dog Racing™ Air Splitter defends your car's end against scraping and cracking. The protective splitter slides over pavement with steep approach angles while your car's flexible urethane bumper or air dam flexes -- without scratching your paint. Made from 3/16" thick, high-impact ABS plastic and built to take a surprising amount of abuse."

It also has a textured top finish in Black that goes with any colour. It is made to go with the factory spoiler.

Looking good Hot Rodders. The Evo gold MX5 really looks so much better with some back on it.

What are the press stud around the rear parcel shelf? Are these for a canopy cover?

Yep. The car came with a full cover like the MG's used to have. I never use it because it's easier to reach back and pull the roof up.
