what clutch?

Postby 16bit » Thu Jul 16, 2009 3:24 pm

Ok i thought I had the clutch thing sorted with deciding on an exedy cushion button clutch but have since read that its not that good. I am after a clutch that I can use on the road that will be able to handle potentially big hp (300whp). I don’t want to spend 2.5k on an os giken unit that can handle a billion jigga watts and so on. Has anyone got any experience with the exedy cushion button clutch? Are there any other alternatives out there?

what clutch?

I went through the same hassle when I had the engine in my SP re-built.

After much deliberation, and knowing that my beautiful wife also drives the car, I opted for the OEM clutch for the SE.

My car puts out around 200RWKw and I haven't had any problems with slipping, and the pedal is nice and light, and the clutch is very easy to control.

I guess you can spend a lot of money on a button clutch or whatever, but they can be a real pain to live with, if you drive your car on the street.
