I've just installed a set of Tein Flex on the car, and I've noticed that the damper adjustment at the top has a ridiculous number of 'clicks', somewhere in the order of 27.
I was under the impression that there was only 16 adjustments, so I checked the manual online and it says 'Exceeding level 16 may damage the damper'
I just wanted to know if it was normal for there to be more adjustments than 16. The manual hints at this, I just wanted to get some confirmation from someone else running Flex.

I found on mine (SS but same concept) that if I use very light pressure to turn the adjuster then there is 16 clicks, if you move it more quickly or use more force then you get more than 16 clicks. Note also that 'more force' is not multi grips level of force, just slightly more than 'light'
So now I just use very light pressure to adjust the settings.

When the EDFC starts up it cranks the shocks down to full-hard first, then adjusts back 16 times. They are very light clicks, I think you can actually unscrew the adjuster completely without damage (from memory I actually replaced the adjusters when I installed my EDFC). I'm guessing that the oil can leak out though if you drive the car with the shocks past their safety point.

Awesome, thanks for putting my mind at east guys. I'm planning on getting EDFC to make it a bit easier (I'm just plain lazy )

Yes there are more than 16 clicks. You're no supposed to go past 16.
I suspect if you forced it you might wind the thread off its nut or something...

Here is a couple of photos I prepared earlier.
16 clicks is the limit.
