Ok I recently replaced tension cables with some I got from MX5parts

anyway last week I noticed that my D/S one has SNAPPED again :(

how long are these ment to last for?

anyone know if i can get it from Mazda? and if so how much?

you can get thicker stainless ones its sleved in clear plastic and its like 2x as thick as the oem ones...
every ounce counts

They should last for the life of the car. I have re-used them when replacing the soft top. When you say snapped do you mean the cable its self or where the plastic end piece is riveted to the soft top frame. You do have the lower end attached to a spring, which is in turn attached to the soft top frame?... if not this could explain why it is snapping...ie too much tension?
