do anyone know what kind of fitting the for lights are?? (9006 for example). I know H1 globes go in the sockets, but the plastic bulb holder is looking a little second hand and doesnt really hold the globes in securely.

just wondering if i get a 9006, 9007 bulb will it fit in the socket?

Cheers

bulbs are designed for specific bulbholders and the bulb is also designed for the lamp. If you change the bulb then you change the focal length and the optics. There was a repair job done on fogs which I think covered your model- maybe the bulbholder is damaged- heat???. The base types are totally different. The H1 has a P14.5s base and the 9005 is P20d and 9006 is P22d. I would suggest looking at a secondhand unit as long as the bulbholder is ok. The other thing to do is take a look at the different bases- either on line or at Bursons etc

Very sorry, this should be what I meant.....don't know what I was thinking.......9005 for the high beam, 9006 for the low beam.
