hello,
I'm installing a wolf3d version 4 in my 1992 na6 - i'm making my own adaptor loom out of the wolf loom and a diagnostics board with a socket the standard mx5 loom plugs into.
I'm guessing most of the people running a wolf3d on their na6 have the plugin version - anyone wire one up from scratch?
The problem I'm having is with signal errors from the input triggers they climb quickly while trying to start - unusable.. I'm getting good 0v-5v square waves from both signal wires (supplied 5v from the wolf, with 1k pullup resistors) and watching the L.E.D.s on the front of the wolf3d they are pulsing in the way i'd expect them to (reference (trig 1) twice as often as the sync (trig 2).
The map I've got is the base map from wolf - and I've double checked the trigger sequencing and setup and it's all as i'd imagine.
Did anyone else have trouble with the input section like this when setting up the wolf?
Is the plugin version just the normal wolf with an adaptor loom? anyone interested in having a look to see how they wired that section up?
thanks!
p.s. i would email wolfems but they are charging for support on their non-current ecus now.

Don't know how much I can help, but here goes. I assume you already have the Wolf 3D V4 manual?

With regards to the Plug-in version, I found an article that refers to the just released MX-5 plug-in version dated Dec 2002.

Wolf3dv4+ NA6-early NA8 plugin version doesn't use an adaptor loom, it just has the same plug the factory ecu has built into the side of the Wolf casing.
