Roof care question

Alright, I read a fair bit about how to clean the vinyl roof properly, as well as not to put it down while its wet etc.

However, with this cold weather of late it seems to be increasingly difficult to put the roof down flush as it is quite stiff.

It also doesn't help that I have a BD roll bar in the way.

My question is should I avoid putting the roof down when it is cold like this.... or should I do something different to aid in putting the roof down more easily?

the vinyl is likely to be stiff when cold. To improve the situation it might help if there is more heat ie wait for the sun ,perhaps cover it during the night, or even judiciously use a hair dryer.Your top is designed to go up/down all weathers so it should be ok unless it is near its use by date.

I thought Mazda stated a minimum temperate at which the roof could be lowered? Maybe it only applied to NA's with the plastic rear window. Have a read of your owners manual to see what it says.

my NB does this too.

just lower it slowly, if it catches dont try to force it down, instead lift it back up and try again, it should drop normally the second time.

if not, put the roof back up, close the windows, and run the heater on full power and full fan (face vents) for a few mins, then try the roof.
