DIY centre console
The original centre consoles are useless, huh? What were those japanese guys thinking??!?
I like the lower DIY profile. I pulled mine out to inspect the shifter boot and thought that anything past the window switches can go.
I have a cunning plan and parts are on their way from the U.S. as we speak... moo haha!

Any chance I could possibly get a copy of that pattern please? I'm really liking the look of that

If you pm me your address I'll send you a pattern - it's an early one but should basically be what you need. A few other tips - get hold of a parcel shelf carpet from an NA as it's the same pattern. Buy a cheap set of car carpets (I got mine from Go-Lo). Make sure that they are the type with the overlocking like tape which is tacked on, that way you just untack it and get the missus to tack it back around the gearstick. I would have done this with the whole job but at the time I didnt know that was an option. You may even be able to buy the overlocking in a roll. I am looking at putting Nb switches in rather thean the blingy thing I have. By the way I love the freedom of this console and wouldn't go back to the original.
