Just wondering if anyone has an aftermarket ignition system?
I'm throwing around the idea of installing the system I have, but I'm not sure if the trouble/expense is worth it.
Any help as to exactly what the benefits are would be ace.

Is this for replacing the coilpacks? so u wanna convert to coil-on plug?
Splitfire DID make some for the mx5, now discontinued.
Though I have seen them twice on yahoo jp, one for na8 and na6.
Unless you wanna rig up your own set with Toyota 1zz COP, I'll glady assist in anyway:D

I'm really surprised a vendor isn't doing an upgrade system for all the NB owners with dead coil packs.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I use 4 Rav4 coils on my racer. The QLD boys have been doing it for years. Not sure I'd bother on a roady though as you need an aftermarket ECU to control it properly.

Yeah CT, I'm running stand alone. One of these... http://www.linkecu.com/products/engine- ... er/g4storm
I'm not too sure how good, bad or otherwise it is. Or even whether it will control the the M&W's I've got. The car seems to run great ATM, so I guess it's doing it's job.
I would like to have this as more of a race car than a street car, if that helps. I guess if race cars are running them, they've got to be the way to go? I was just a bit unsure of the benefits over the standard NA8 coil packs.
This is the ignition system I have It's an M&W, although mines not installed yet.
