Hi guys,
As the topic suggests, where is the relay for the demister. My manual and another forum says its in the boot next to the left light (if you pull out the carpet/panel where the boot release is) but there seems to be nothing there. I know the fuse is right next to the antenna but buggered if i can find the relay.
Thanks

Help locating demister relay.
in my NA8 it's in the boot, near the driver side boot hinge/battery/shock mount area. should be easy to spot by following the factory wiring that runs through there from the cabin.

Do you have an NA8? If you do, check my thread, when I fitted the demister relay when I installed a hardtop. Pix included.
But in summary, on the NA8 the relay is at the rear boot wall behind the trim, between the tail lights [see pix]. The fuse is located near the battery compartment (next to the automatic aerial).

Thanks Hammer. Yeah sorry its an NA8. I looked in that area but on the left hand side and found an empty plug. That could be where its suppose to go. Maybe all this time everything was installed except the relay

That was the case on mine too. The car originally didn't come new with the hard top - I only fitted it this year. All the wiring is there, you just need to:
1. Fit relay
2. Fit fuse - holder and wirign already done (located near the auto aerial)
3. Fit OEM demister switch (the wiring and plug (blue if I remember right) is already there under the dash)

yep. the fuse was already in there. Same with the demister switch. I would plug it in, switch on, the demister light in the dash would go on but nothing else would happen. I've only needed it just recently with the cold and crazy rain. Hopefully now i'll get it working.
Thanks heaps Hammer
