Likewise looks & sounds good Mark considering the differences between yours & Danny's kits. Congrats also!

Hi there Mokesta
Didn't realise there was another Walton on the forum
If you decide to get a smaller pulley, let me know and we may be able to combine postage, as I really need one now

There isn't. My surname and my rego number are both wrong on the chart.
I will certainly be buying the smaller nose pulley. I have to sort out the differences in shaft length between mine and Danny's chargers. None of the suppliers appear to mention the difference and I want a pulley that will fit.

No real progress to report this weekend. I had to work all Saturday
One item of excitement was I collected my GPS unit. It is a 5Hz Garmin and plugs straight into the Ruzic Engineering Race Logger.

I can't wait to plot my laps, calculate acceleration, look at lines etc! Geek extreme!
Also my race logger and engine monitor, being Beta test units, need a re-flash so it is a great excuse to head over to Mountainrunner's house to get the full lesson on wiring up sensors, setting up the calibration on the units and setting the alarms.
I was pleased to learn that the re-flash will enable me to configure one of the outputs to drive a fan/water pump controller. It has different on/off points so, when I connect up a W2A intercooler, the fan & pump will turn on at 45 degrees but not turn off again until 35 degrees. That stops fan on/off cycling when near the switch point. Cool eh?
We are selling our house and moving so progress will be slow for a while.

Solved three issues today. The clubby had been overheating so, on Danny's advice I took out the thermostat. At room temp it was stuck wide open. I suspect that sometimes it had been sticking closed. Replaced it with a new 82 degree one and she's all cool
I also tensioned up the supercharger drive belt, which is a real exercise with the stock JR tesnioner! Got rid of the belt slip.
Finally, I replaced the shifter boot.
So the car is faster, cooler and quieter.
Good result.

Just read this start to finish!!
Sounds and looks good.
I would be keen to hear what the NPower muffler sounds like, I am considering changing one of mine.
I cant wait to go down the Megasquirt track, should be interesting
Cheers

I love it when the fixes are simple and not particularly expensive!
Time for another track day me thinks!

Hi Jaron, my rear muffler is the NPower item. I will be developing bolt on exhaust system kits using NPower products over the next couple of months.
Cheers,
Danny

Yep, that was a cheap fix (especially with a little help from Tim
) It could have bene really expensive though, I passed a speed trap on the way around my test drive. I must have been behaving myself, I guess.
Next thing is a new radiator. Had a close look at the top tank on mine and it resembles an out of date easter egg. Dark brown but with lighter blotches and the starts of cracks all through the top tank.
Maybe a 40mm cooling pro? Any advice?
The exhaust is rather loud now that it has about 30% more gas flowing through it!
Bring on the track days!

No particular advice on brand as most seem to have their act together now. However, I wouldn't go any thicker than 40mm to ensure the ambient air-flow doesn't find it too hard to make its way through the fins.
Cheers,
Danny

Cooling-Pro radiator now installed. I have put a post in the Cooling Pro thread detailing the install.
Rad is 42mm thick two-core 14 fins per inch.

nice work Mokesta, now you can start saving for an intercooler?

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

My intercooler designer is:
building a race car
putting a v8 into a torana
about to become a dad again
running a busy and successful business
not putting one on his car
So my chances of installing and IC are pretty slim.
