Ah, that must enable jinba ittai.

Possibly enables the flux capacitor.

My corresponding one is blank. Anyone have a similar diagram on theirs?

Thats the international sybmol for a fog light. The UK NA's were fitted with them. It was a tacked on square light screwed on to the bottom of the rear bumper. It looked like something you'd find at Supercheap. In the NB's Mazda got a bit more integrated and fitted a red lense to one of the reversing lights and turned that into the fog light, similar to the Mk5 Golf.

I have no idea what the switch operates on your car. Follow the wires and see where they go.

I reckon Garry is right- I just read that rear fogs were tacked on to the car in UK before a proper integrated job was done.I doubt if a rear fog was offered in Au. Makes one wonder if this car was an import? Incidentally the rear fog lamps emit more light than a standard rear lamp and that is why it is darn annoying coming up behind someone who does not know what the purpose it\s.

But the switch in question is the one related to the front fog lights. I have been trying to hunt one of these down for a while...

From looking closely at the picture, it looks like a duck swimming on the water!

Perhaps this switch is for the "amphibian" setting?

You never know, your car may be able to swim!

Well it didn't blow up and I like the oil slick idea make a nice getaway from the boys in blue... or maybe with the amphibious feature. Jump of a jetty while being chased by a helicopter!
Gotta make sure that the roof is up thou.
