War on Tein dampers?
Look's like BC has a beef with Tein and trying to cut in on the market.
If they are going to compare to tein, it should be:
Racing spec vrs Monoflex
N spec vrs tein flex
Edit: Some facts that I have picked up.
* Both BC & Tein offer dampers for NB and NA, only Tein offer dampers for the NC
* Spring rates for all 4 dampers in question are almost identical.
* Monoflex have micro speed valve technology, BC doesnt.
* BC are made in taiwan, Tein are not.

wow a features war... seriously, forged perches??? Has anyone anywhere ever broken a perch? (without massively bottoming them out in an accident, or a monumental design failure like coil bind involved?)
They should be comparing the important things:
ride comfort
handling quality
reliability
cost.

There are two different companies.
BC- bor chuan which make suspension only, and are taiwanese- wholesale suspension in Sydney bring these in, and reports are good, I have riden in them, and they aren't that bad.
BC- Buddyclub, Japanese company, but there are reports some of the lower end stuff are made in Taiwan as well.
The topic of this thread is about Buddyclub though.
Buddyclub is mainly for Honda, though they do make stuff for other brand even the mx5.

And that's D2/G4 stuff. BC- bor chuan is alright, Buddyclub is better, but would not compare to Tein, they are in the lower market stuff in Japan.

Thanks guys.
Yup, I know of Buddy Club and I assume they make good stuff. I've dríven a hotted up WRX with that sort of pictured exhaust - absolutely no muffling at all.

Yes, in this case it is Buddy Club.bruce wrote:Is it Buddy Club, or just a different brand called 'BC' ?
I agree with Matty in regards to a proper unbiased comparison on a track based on important factors and it should probably be done by a magazine (*hint* pakula *hint*). Of course, if any one of the manufacturers advertises in the magazine then could that make it difficult to remain impartial?
At the moment, there are many WA motorsport competitors using the TEIN FLEX with success. I think there was one with the TEIN MONOFLEX. So possibly more a case of knowing other TEIN users having success and not willing to be the test mule for another brand?

The highlights of the TEIN Flex include the inverted shock body design (the ultimate in ride height adjustability), 16-way adjustable damping control, and standard pillowball upper shock mounts.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.
