Still in Tokyo, not in the CBD, probably about 30min train ride.

Due to the language barrier (I don't speak any Japanese :( ) there wasn't too much discussed. It was more just a matter of a bit of show, and not a lot of tell. The installation was very clean and the car was well detailed but quite mild from a modification perspective. 250hp at the hubs is nothing to sneeze at. Unfortunately we didn't get to go for a drive in it as we were too busy translating and ran out of time  . All the RS Aizawa staff we very friendly and took time out to interact with us 8) . It was great to meet and see such a well known MX-5 tuning house.

Here is a piccie of their workshop.

I did Bruce! They're didn't appear to be real keen on rotary engines and therefore weren't particulary interested. Oh well!

Actually, I think the scale of my project is too big for them...their project cars tend to focus on bolt on bits and pieces as opposed to wholesale custom design.

They are in Zama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, which is not far from Yokohama. Allow up to 1.5 hours to get there from central Tokyo. You need to catch a couple of trains and a cab to get there without too much leg work.

Danny

I think If you went to Re Amemiya in Chiba they would have liked it.

RS likes S/C and ITBS's

Their workshop looks absolutely tiny.

They are lucky to even have a workshop close to the city.

This is actually quite the norm, even larger, well known tuning shops are quite small, and hardly ever have their full catalogue of parts in stock.

I like your thinking, but I thought the Evolution was Mrs Hot Rodders beast?

It appears Delta Force / Sniper Tuning are still ironing out the differences between U.S. ECUs and those in the rest of the world

Supercharged NCs go boom in Europe

Has anyone actually installed one of these in Australia yet? I wonder if our ECUs are similar to the Yanks, the Europeans or different again...

From what I've read we have different maps and ECU configuration than the USA. Not sure about Europe but I would say it would be closer.

The reason he's gone quite is because he's stripped off the go fast bits and sold his car.

One little piece making it all the way north to Sydney, into a Winning Blue NC :D
