ebay Camber arms

this seems like an interesting idea. anyone got any experience with these? or any thoughts or comments regarding pros and cons?

if there anything like the cheap ebay ones for silvias stay away

my mechanic got them to try them out, the rose joints where dead and had heaps of play in like 3 months

stuff like that its woth paying the extra for genuine

they probably are locky

the intresting thing is that i have not seen many if any aftermarket camber arms for the MX-5, reason for it is probably because you get enough camber on the stock setup? and if you want more then -2.5camber you get a longer bolt.

am i missing something? are these more for an ease of adjustment, or is it to gain more camber etc?

Im running the rear ones at the moment. Due to to much camber and could only get so much adjustment back out.

Fitment was average. Where they locate on to the subframe required minor manipulation and effort.The jig must be a bee's dick out.
Cured my negitive camber issues without raising my car up to a sensible height

But just recently saw they now make front adjustable ones... dunno how they go. I might look at getting them due to when I get a wheel alignment and im trying to run crazy wide offset wheels i have to reduce my caster to gain more negitive camber to get my wheels to not scrub due to the wishbone set up and ecentric bolts. This way I might be able to run full caster and as much or as little camber as I want.

well again my knowledge is only for silvias (they dont have front camber arms, just a camber top on after market coilovers)

but on the rear there only designed to allow you to run less camber, ie go longer than your stock arm, not shorter

I think ikeaya formula is the only company that makes an arm alowing you to run more than stock rear camber, and im pretty sure thy dont make it for a mx5

Wouldn't it just be easier to get wheels with a more sensible offset/width? :idea:

Just another crap product made with most likely cheap components to make you feel all warm and fuzzy. With the modified arms we run on the race cars, -6deg of camber is achievable from and rear. The factory arms are very strong and need to be. I have seen these fitted to a car and the consensus was BLING. if you can't get the adjustment you need with offset bushes on a road car......then you need to ask yourself other questions.

low offset wheels are like the new chrome!

i'm curious to how "crazy" your setup is going to be? is the offset in the negatives?

its on a na6, 15x7.5 -12 SSR dished rims or my other wheels 15x8+4 superlites. 185/55/15 tyres

Mr CT could you please throw up some pics of your modified items? Id like to see how its done.

your going to need a spastic amount of camber to fit those puppies in.

car is looking good, has changed alot since your last update, maybe you should post this in your project thread.

How much wear are you seeing on the outside edge of the wheel compared to the inside? The mods CT is talking about give you an AWFUL lot of camber... I just run offset bushes and that's enough for semi-slick level of grip. Unless your moving to slicks or purposely trying to de-grip the car for drifting purposes... I wouldn't be looking at more camber. With offset bushes and Tein Monoflex I can get 2.5 max camber on the front with max caster, then 4.0 on the rear. My tyres are wearing the best they ever had at the moment and I've actually pulled some camber out...

How much camber are people running on their circuit cars?
I believe you can get up to 1.5deg with std adjustment. Is this correct?

I am running (planning to run!) a track only NB8A on 15x7 +17 with 205/50 R888 semi slicks and not sure now much camber to aim for as a start.
I'm guessing somewhere between 2 and 4 deg neg? Then could move either way with std adjusters??

What do the track day guys recommend front and rear?

Hard Race Gear is comming along well now, and we do it for all the S13 and R32 drift guys.

These are the rear upper arms Camber adjustable + and -.

Think they are about $350 for the pair. I have fitted to two cars now and they love them, I am gonna put a set on mine too when I install my BC coilovers.
