yeah, that was pretty much the whole point of removing the turbo - to improve my driving on the track. if it was just a street car i would have left the turbo on... it's just too much fun !

Fatty, One thing you will find frustrating after you take the turbo off is the amount of traffic passing you under brakes. Having a slower car than most (poor old NA6) I found the newer faster cars catch you up in the straights then dive under you into the corner. You have no choice but to let them through and thus another lap down the drain.

Just something to think about before pulling that turbo off.

By the way, would have loved to catch up with you guys for this but we are on a shutdown at work and I have to be there.....bummer
Cheers
Mark

Great day guys! sorry for hogging a lot of the equipment to change my shocks. Took much much longer than i thought. I only just realised this was supposed to be organised to install those engine mounts.

In any case, Cheers to Bruce for putting on the day, lending the equipment, giving me a hand and the BBQ

Cheers to Baz and Ben for helping me get my shocks in. Apologies for taking so long but it was my first time.

Fatty, Bruce pulled a single flash with the diagnostic light. Apparently it's something to do with ignition pulse according to the following table.

Code Meaning
1 Ignition pulse
2 Ne signal
3 G signal
4 SGT signal (1.8L)
8 Airflow meter
9 Water thermistor
10 Intake air thermistor in airflow meter
12 Throttle position sensor
14 Atmospheric pressure sensor
15 Oxygen sensor (output too low)
16 EGR function sensor (1.8L)
17 Oxygen sensor (output not changing)
25 PRC solenoid valve (1.8L)
26 Solenoid valve (Evaporative canister purge)
27 EGR solenoid valve (vacuum)(1.8L)
28 EGR solenoid valve (vent)(1.8L)
34 34 Idle air control (1.8L)
36 Idle speed control valve

That means it could either be a loose connection somewhere, a problem with the ECU or the coil. Did you finally manage to get it going?

Thanks to Bruce for being a great host.

Many thanks to Bruce for organising this day. It was great to meet some new faces and catch up with some old ones.

A really great day. Glad I ventured over!

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

It was great to see everyone helping each other out today. Putting faces to names and some cool mods and machinery 8)

Many thanks to Bruce and "the boss" for putting on a great feast, beers and good company.

We should put out a special mention to Ben for working flat out all day to get Steves shocks in, Wun for racing around bleeding brakes and greasing brake sliders, and to Phil for the hours on Fatty's car.

How did the spare injectors work Fatty?

Cheers again, had a great day, and Okibi, my camera is sitting next to my computer where I forgot it this morning. I think Wun has some pics?

yeah wuey, i am convinced it is a loose electrical connection somewhere. thanks for that list, it'll prove useful i'm sure.

what should have been a simple, quick job turned into a bit of a nightmare. thanks to everyone who helped out on my car...baz, phil, peter, bruce, ben, cheyne, ben, pam... well actually pretty much everyone who was there

i am home now but my car is still at bruce's place.... even when we swapped to the other injectors, it just refuses to start. i'll get the injectors checked and go from there.... but anyway it was a really good day and great to catch up with everyone.

I also got to try some new shoes on the car, some 949 racing 6UL's in 15x8!! it looked great and felt even better... but the stance!!!!

Thanks everyone!
