If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

From memory on the NB it actually pulls out, the older NA's were a bolt arrangement with stub axles. It's been that long since I took the pumpkin out of my car to get the Tomei diff put in though....

I got the diff out no worries.
I paid $1200 for my kaaz 1.5 way from "RMS" performance parts in melb, He had it in stock
I took it and the housing to "central diff's", who are now in fairview st in springvale, to get the back lash set.
Here's a handy link if you are about to pull out your diff and don't really know how.... clicky below

Central Diff's (springvale, melb) charged me $250 to put the kaaz mech center in with new bearings and set the backlash.....i didn't bother with new seals because mine looked ok..... dropped it off and picked up the next day......
Got dizzy doing figure 8's to run it in...... good times
...... remember once you've done the figure 8's you have to change the oil.
so diff budget stands at.....$1530.....
Kaaz 1.5 way diff center $1200
center install/set backlash $250
extra can of Kaaz diff oil $80
Has dramatically changed the way the car drives! so much better from a performance point of view....... from a daily point of view its very tolerable.... only slight chatter when cold and turning tight under power...... I'm very happy and hanging back end out every chance i get !

Haha, that was good fun. For me, the most suitable place to do it was in a quiet carpark right behind a police station. I had no doubt that I'd get asked wtf I was doing, but I figured that I wasn't going to be doing anything illegal so, why not! I got summonsed over after about 20 minutes, but just explained that that was the safest place to do it and the officer agreed and let me get back to it.
